...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM CDT THIS 
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHERN CHAMBERS, SOUTHEASTERN ELMORE, LEE, 
SOUTHEASTERN TALLAPOOSA, NORTHWESTERN BULLOCK AND MACON COUNTIES...

At 235 PM CDT, emergency management reported that several streets 
are now impassable due to flood waters across Lee county. Between 2 
and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 
to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Auburn, Opelika, Tuskegee, Valley, Lanett, Tallassee, Notasulga, 
  Milstead, La Fayette, Shorter, Franklin, Waverly, Lakeview, 
  Cusseta, Auburn University, Tuskegee National Forest, Beauregard, 
  Society Hill, Lake Tuskegee and Oak Bowery.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
