...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM CDT SATURDAY 
FOR SOUTHERN MARION COUNTY...

At 1155 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported widespread flooding 
across southern Marion County, including numerous roads flooded, 
stalled cars, a couple of water rescues, and water entering some 
homes and businesses. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. 
Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Hillsboro, Marion, Peabody, Florence, Goessel, Burns, Lehigh and 
  Marion Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
