At 905 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain temporarily ended over the southern half of the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar. Between 0.25 and 1.5 inches of rain already fell this afternoon and early evening, in addition to up to 1.25 inches that fell last night. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible over the southern half of the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar tonight. Flash flooding is probably already underway in the Gallinas River, Sapello River, and Manuelitas Creek drainages. Excessive rainfall will produce debris flow that can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar. SOURCE...Radar indicated.
