...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR CHESTER, FAYETTE, HARDEMAN, HARDIN, HAYWOOD, LAUDERDALE, 
MCNAIRY, SHELBY AND TIPTON COUNTIES...

At 1253 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain 
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

  Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Brownsville, Millington, 
  Covington, Ripley, Savannah, Henderson, Bolivar, Selmer, Luxora, 
  Chickasaw State Forest, Chickasaw State Park, Big Hill Pond State 
  Park, Cordova, Fort Pillow State Park, Meeman Shelby Forest State 
  Park, T O Fuller State Park and Pickwick Landing State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
