The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern Grundy County in central Iowa...
  Northern Tama County in central Iowa...
  Black Hawk County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 1100 PM CDT Monday.

* At 450 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Grundy Center, Evansdale, La Porte City, 
  Hudson, Traer, Reinbeck, Dysart, Dike, Elk Run Heights, Uni-Dome 
  And McLeod Center, Crossroads Mall, Waterloo Municipal Airport, 
  Gladbrook, Washburn, Dunkerton, Raymond, Gilbertville and Stout.
