The National Weather Service in The Twin Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Hennepin County in east central Minnesota...
  Southeastern Anoka County in east central Minnesota...
  Ramsey County in east central Minnesota...

* Until 1130 PM CDT.

* At 629 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Minneapolis, St. Paul, Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids, Blaine, St.
  Louis Park, Maplewood, Roseville, Brooklyn Center, Fridley,
  Shoreview and New Brighton.

Additional rainfall amounts of 3 inches are possible in the warned 
area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
