The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Bernalillo County in central New Mexico...

* Until 630 PM MDT.

* At 337 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have 
  fallen in the past 30 minutes between the South Valley and Isleta 
  Pueblo. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Southern Albuquerque, South Valley and Isleta Pueblo.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 208 and 219.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of normally 
dry arroyos and streambeds, low water crossings, intersections and 
underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas.
