The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...

* Until 700 PM MDT.

* At 403 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated slow northward moving 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain between Los Cerrillos and Santa 
  Fe. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.25 inches are possible in the warned 
  area. This rain is falling over already saturated grounds and 
  flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Santa Fe, Eldorado At Santa Fe, La Cienega, Cerrillos Hills State 
  Park, Los Cerrillos, Galisteo and Agua Fria.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 274 and 285.

This includes the following low water crossings...
	General Goodwin Road and San Ysidro Crossing.

This includes the following recreation areas...
	Cerrillos Hills State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly or mountainous terrain there are numerous low water 
crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not 
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
