* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Allegany County in western New York...
  Northeastern Cattaraugus County in western New York...
  East Central Erie County in western New York...
  Southern Genesee County in western New York...
  Southwestern Livingston County in western New York...
  Wyoming County in western New York...

* Until 1245 AM EDT.

* At 855 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding 
  within the warned area mainly for northeastern Allegany County. 
  Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned 
  area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  Letchworth State Park, Alfred, Perry, Warsaw, Bennington, Mount 
  Morris, Attica, Pavilion, Arcade, Belfast, Rushford, Portageville, 
  Houghton, Varysburg, Chaffee, Yorkshire, Caneadea, Sheldon, Nunda 
  and Covington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 
creeks.
