The National Weather Service in Norman has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Atoka County in southeastern Oklahoma...
  Southern Coal County in southeastern Oklahoma...
  Johnston County in southeastern Oklahoma...
  Northern Marshall County in southeastern Oklahoma...

* Until 330 AM CDT.

* At 109 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  heavy rain has fallen in locations between Tishomingo and Atoka. 
  Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
  amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash 
  flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Madill, Atoka, Tishomingo, Coalgate, Mannsville, Ravia, Wapanucka, 
  Stringtown, Lehigh, Milburn, Tushka, Bromide, Fillmore, Coleman, 
  Nida, Olney, Little City, Russett, northeastern Lake Texoma and 
  Oakland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
