The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Colleton County in southeastern South Carolina...
  Dorchester County in southeastern South Carolina...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 347 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Walterboro, Saint George, Dorchester, Harleyville, Reevesville, 
  Smoaks, Williams, Canadys, Round O and Ruffin.

While flooding is already ongoing across much of Colleton and 
northern Dorchester counties due to 6-10 inches of rain over the 
last 3 days, a new area of intense rainfall will move across the 
area this afternoon. Hourly rainfall rates of 1 to 2.5 inches of 
rain per hour can be expected, which will likely produce new areas 
of flash flooding from around Harleyville, Saint George, Canadys, 
Walterboro, down through Hendersonville and Green Pond.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
