The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Irion County in west central Texas...
  Southern Sterling County in west central Texas...
  Northwestern Tom Green County in west central Texas...

* Until 1015 PM CDT.

* At 704 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain entering northwest Irion county moving northeast at 25 
  mph.  Between 1.5 and 3.25 inches of rain have fallen across 
  southern Sterling County and northwest Irion county. Additional 
  rainfall amounts up to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area 
  as the storms move northeast over already saturated grounds.  
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Broome.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
crossings along County Road 411, Jackson crossing Sterling Creek and 
Hall crossing Dry Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
