thunderstorm chances are expected to develop early this afternoon 
and into the evening. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2" is likely, with

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be 
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Iowa, including 
  the following counties, in north central Iowa, Cerro Gordo, 
  Hancock, Kossuth, Winnebago and Worth. In northwest Iowa, Emmet 
  and Palo Alto.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, 
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. 
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur 
  in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be 
  flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and 
  rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon and
    evening may bring additional rainfall of 1 to 2" or more to
    areas that saw heavy rainfall last night. This may delay
    improvement to any ongoing flood conditions and lead to brief
    flooding or ponding of water as storms pass through.
