...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Arkansas, including the following 
  counties, northwestern Hempstead, Howard, Little River and Sevier, 
  southeast Oklahoma, including the following county, McCurtain, and 
  northeast Texas, including the following counties, Bowie, 
  northwestern Camp, northwestern Cass, Franklin, northern Morris, 
  Red River, Titus and northwestern Wood.

* WHEN...Until 1245 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 849 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
    advisory area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Texarkana, Mount Pleasant, De Queen, Wake Village, Ashdown,
    Nashville, New Boston, Winnsboro, Clarksville, Mineral
    Springs, Dierks, Horatio, Foreman, Boxelder, Hagansport,
    Umpire, Idabel, Broken Bow, Nash and Hooks.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
