...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following 
  county, Burke and central South Carolina, including the following 
  counties, Aiken and Barnwell.

* WHEN...Until 430 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 125 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Waynesboro, Plant Vogtle, Savannah River Site, Sardis,
    Midville, Alexander, Burke County Airport, Girard, Vidette,
    Shell Bluff, Di-Lane Wildlife Management Area, Savannah River
    Site K Complex, Rosier and Magruder.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a 
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.

Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid 
traveling in this area. Turn around, don't drown.
