...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi, including the following 
  counties, Alcorn, Benton, Tippah and Tishomingo and West 
  Tennessee, including the following counties, Chester, Decatur, 
  Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison and McNairy.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water 
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It 
  will take several hours for all the water from these storms to 
  work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 904 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Corinth, Savannah, Henderson, Bolivar, Selmer, Big Hill Pond
    State Park, Chickasaw State Park, Chickasaw State Forest,
    Pickwick Landing State Park, Whiteville, Adamsville, Sardis,
    Silerton, Masseyville, Jacks Creek, Shiloh, Pocahontas,
    Morris Chapel, Mifflin and Pickwick Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
