...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
  counties, Kimble, Menard and Schleicher.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 735 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain
    has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 0.75 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Menard, Fort Mckavett, Hext, Saline, The Intersection Of
    Us-83 And Highway 29, The Intersection Of Us-83 And Ranch
    Road 1773, Us-83 Near The Kimble-Menard County Line, Us-83
    Near The Menard-Concho County Line, Camp Sol Mayer, Us-190
    Near The Menard-Mcculloch County Line, Us-377 Near The
    Kimble-Menard County Line and Erna.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Toe Nail crossing San Saba River, crossings along FM 1221,
    Decker St. crossing San Saba River, Ranch Road 2291 crossing
    Las Moras Creek, Callan Lane crossing, Mahan crossing Taylor
    Branch, Saline crossing Little Saline Creek, Long Mt.
    crossing Leon Creek, Blau crossing and Dunagan crossing San
    Saba River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
