...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Virginia, 
  including the following counties and independent city, in south 
  central Virginia, Brunswick. In southeast Virginia, City of 
  Emporia and Greensville.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1059 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Emporia, Purdy, Brunswick, Jarratt, Radium, Barley, Gasburg,
    Ebony, Ante, Pleasant Shade, Triplet, Bufford Crossroads,
    Edgerton, Brink, Durand, Slates Corner, Callaville, Emporia
    Reservoir, Valentines and Cowie Corner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
