...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT
FOR CLAIBORNE...NORTHEASTERN JEFFERSON...SOUTHWESTERN HINDS AND
NORTHWESTERN COPIAH COUNTIES...

At 1146 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Clinton to near Carpenter, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of
Claiborne, northeastern Jefferson, southwestern Hinds and
northwestern Copiah Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for west central
Mississippi. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 500 AM CDT
for central and southwestern Mississippi.

building.
