...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT
FOR JACKSON...NORTHEASTERN DEKALB AND SOUTHEASTERN FRANKLIN
COUNTIES...

At 521 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near South Pittsburg to near Henagar, moving east at
45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency management.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Higdon, Ider, Bridgeport, Pisgah, Rosalie, Henagar, Bass, Dutton,
Martintown, and Long Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. Damaging 
winds downing trees and powerlines have been reported in Jackson 
County.  People outside should move to a shelter, inside a strong 
building and away from windows.
