* Special Marine Warning for...
  Kaiwi Channel...
  Maui County Windward Waters...
  Oahu Windward Waters...

* Until 1145 AM HST.

* At 1049 AM HST, an area of strong thunderstorms was located 16 nm 
  northeast of FAD Buoy LL to 23 nm northeast of FAD Buoy T, or 29 
  nm northeast of Laie Point to 33 nm northwest of Kalaupapa. The 
  area of thunderstorms was nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding
downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are
wearing life jackets.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water, stay below deck if possible.
