...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL KINGS...WESTERN
TULARE AND EAST CENTRAL FRESNO COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM PDT...

At 212 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles east of Orange Cove to Corcoran.
Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pixley, East Orosi, Visalia, Park Ridge, Azalea Campground, Ivanhoe,
Cutler, Shadequarter Mtn, Grant Grove, Crystal Springs Campground,
Squaw Valley, Orange Cove, Grant Grove Visitor Center, Farmersville,
Pinehurst, Exeter, Woodlake, Tipton, Orosi, and Tulare.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions
they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a
funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the
National Weather Service.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
