...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT GRANT...SOUTHERN CALDWELL...LA
SALLE AND EASTERN WINN PARISHES THROUGH 245 AM CDT...

At 158 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along 
a line extending from 11 miles west of Clarks to 14 miles southeast 
of Winnfield to 13 miles north of Ball to near Alexandria 
International Airport. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nebo, Urania, Rogers, Catahoula Lake, Standard, Dry Prong, Lake Iatt,
Burlington, Clarks, Olla, Pollock, Midway, Grayson, Williana,
Georgetown, Colfax, Sikes, Spaulding, Jena, and Bentley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
