...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ORANGE...NORTH CENTRAL
WAKE AND SOUTHERN DURHAM COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 448 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Carrboro, or near Chapel Hill, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Carrboro, Falls Lake State Rec Area, Parkwood, Chapel Hill, Research
Triangle, Falls Lake, Falls Lake Boat Ramp, Bethesda, Rollingview
Marina, and Durham.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
