...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NASH...EAST CENTRAL WAKE...
NORTHWESTERN WILSON...NORTHEASTERN JOHNSTON AND SOUTHEASTERN FRANKLIN
COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 421 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles north of Clayton, or 9 miles southeast of Raleigh, moving east
at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Nashville, Wilson, Zebulon, Elm City, Bailey, Bunn,
Knightdale, Wendell, and Red Oak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for central North
Carolina.
