...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN NASH...EDGECOMBE
AND NORTHEASTERN WILSON COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM EDT...

At 651 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Elm City, or near Rocky Mount, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Macclesfield, Speed, Rocky Mount, Sharpsburg, Pinetops, Tarboro,
Conetoe, Elm City, Tar River Reservoir, and Princeville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
