...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL REAGAN AND SOUTHEASTERN
UPTON COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM CDT...

At 639 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 14 miles northwest of Reagan County Airport, or 14
miles northwest of Big Lake, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rankin, Stiles, and Best.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
western Texas.
