...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL BEAUREGARD PARISH IN
SOUTHWESTERN LOUISIANA AND CENTRAL NEWTON COUNTIES THROUGH 500 AM
CDT...

At 428 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bancroft, or 7 miles southwest of Bon Weir, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor 
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Dry Creek, Singer, Bon Weir, Bivens, Tulla, Bancroft, Bundick Lake,
De Ridder, Merryville, and Old Salem.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
